Today I want to share another part of the Greek culture with you, by introducing another Greek singer and his music. Dimitrios Mitropanos (Δημήτρης Μητροπάνος) was born on the 2nd of April in 1948 and died at the age of 64 in April 2012. He was very renowned for his Greek music style.

Filippos Pliatsikas

Today it is time to introduce you another great musician.
Filippos Pliatsikas, born in Athens, came in touch with music since he was 12 years old.
From 1989 he was an essential part of the most famous rock-band of Greece called “PYX LAX”.
After the band dissolved in 2004 he started to write his own music.

Today I'd like to introduce the Swedish - Greek singer Elena Paparizou to you.

Most people know her due to her success at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 which has been the first win for a Greek singer. With her song "My number One" she got worldwide attention: in the United States and all over Europe, but especially in her home country Sweden and of course, in Greece.
