Eleni Karaindrou

Eleni Karaindrou is a Greek composer born in the village of Tichio in Central Greece on November 25 1941. She is best known for scoring the films of the Greek director Theo Angelopoulos.
Karaindrou moved to Athens with her family when she was eight years old, and she studied piano and music theory at the Hellenikon Conservatory.

Manos Hatzidakis

Today I would like to introduce to you a magnificent Greek composer and poet, which was along with Mikis Theodorakis one of the main movers of the “Έntechni” music.
He lived from the 23rd October 1925 until the 15th June 1994 and had a life full of self created music, of which the most pieces count today as classical ones.

Demis Roussos

Artemios "Demis" Ventouris-Roussos (Αρτέμιος "Ντέμης" Βεντούρης-Ρούσσος) is a Greek singer with an international career, especially in France. Actually, I know him since my childhood, from my mother.
His genre of music is the variety. He is recognizable by his warm tenor timbre and his power (which earned him the nickname "Pavarotti pop") and by the tremolos at the end of the notes.

Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou(Ευάγγελος Οδυσσέας Παπαθανασίου), known as Vangelis, born in March 29, 1943 at Volos. He is a Greek multi-instrumentalist and composer specializing in soundtracks. He often uses electronic instruments alternated with classics instruments.
