A nation of thinkers and philosophers, but also of strategists and makers. Not having to write down everything again and again by hand could have made many things a lot easier. What else would there to be invented if not the letterpress? Speak if it's Greek!

We have no doubts that Ernest Rutherford discovered the difference between alpha and beta radiation with his experiments in 1899. But why name them with Greek letters if there was no Greek involved?
