The Cork

The cork is a really important invention. Every one of you uses the cork, or maybe the plastic sister, the plastic lid, everyday. But did you know that this really important product was invented in the country of the great inventors and thinkers? Elektra Telchinen invented the cork a few days after the national holiday in Greece. She used the olive tree for her first prototype and today they use many different materials, for example the well-known plastic lid.
