Samos island is next to the Asia Minor coast, from which it is separated by only 1.6-kilometres. This island is also an exception in the Aegean Sea because it is green and with lots of vegetation.

Serifos

Serifos is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, located in the western Cyclades, south of Kythnos and northwest of Sifnos. This picturesque island has a really interesting history. In the Greek mythology, Serifos is the place where Danaë and her son Perseus were washed ashore, because her father set them adrift at sea in a wooden chest, responding to an oracle thatpredicted that his own grandson would kill him.

In contrast to its neighboring island Ios, Sikinos is quiet and not as developed. However, this could soon change because there are plans to build a resort and connect it with the mainland by helicopter.
