The Two Faces of January

“The Two Faces of January” by the Iranian director and screenplay writer Hossein Amini plays in the 1960’s in Greece. It is based on a novel of the same title by Patricia Highsmith, who was nominated for the literature Nobel-price in 1991. The main actors are Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the Rings), Kirsten Dunst (Spider Man) and Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis).

The movie we want to present today is "Alexander".

Dated 2004 and directed by Oliver Stone, the film is based on the life of Alexander the Great, who lived between 356 BC and 323 BC.
Alexander was King of Macedonia and is known for his conquers, and by the age of thirty he had created one of the biggest empires of the ancient world, from Greece to Egypt and Northwest India.
