... plants could talk?

What would happen if plants were able to speak?
Would we be able to listen and understand their needs?
Or, as usual, would we think of ourselves only without realizing that, so we put at risk the lives of many living beings on Earth instead of taking care of them seriously?

I think we all would learn respect, not only for other people but also respect for the whole environment around us, so that in the end each day contributes to the lives of so many beings on Earth and nature would play a so much bigger role in our lives.
There would be also other positive aspects: we will be able to save the planet in a unique way because we will be able to use the most present and efficient source of energy: the plants. We could just ask them how to use them; this would also serve well for medical purposes.
I think these are just a few things that could be done.
But on the other hand, it is not said what will happen if plants decide to rebel against all men. In this case, forget flowers and delicious fruits, spring and the summer and get ready for a life without any color and flavor. Our life in his beauty depends from plants.
Their punishment would be very cruel we could only eat disgusting foods, the food chain would break. They would surely survive, but we?
