ProleteR is a 30 years old instrumental hip-hop producer from France.
He works in a factory, and he spends his spare time besides work making music.
He is originally a guitar player, he played with a lot of different bands before moving to the music production.

 The “ProleteR project” was born in 2011, but he started music at a very young age; with about 8 years, he was already playing the drums but he moved to the guitar. He is a self-taught, he learned playing over his discs!
He started playing on stage around 12, and he didn’t stop until he was 20, playing with various bands in his neighbourhood around Toulouse city.
He started with production around 19-20. He was fed up with the guitar, he felt like he had done his time in rock, so he wanted to explore new musical landscapes.
He started playing with sounds with an old keyboard and a recorder, then he went to Strasbourg, and he met a few MC’s in college, where he really fell into hip-hop and production.

To create music, he uses raw material, which means vinyl samples : it all starts in a disc shop, a flea market, a thrift shop. Then he listens to the vinyls very carefully and he samples what’s catching his ear.
He makes music with a positive energy, lively, with strong melodies. He use samples from jazz, charleston or soul, and with a strong hip-hop’s rhythmic bounce.
