Jar

Have you ever thought about who invented and how practical and useful can be ordinary jar?
The earliest successful application of this was discovered by John Landis Mason and patented on November 30, 1858. Jars were made in many shapes, sizes, and colors. Since they were made in such quantity and used for such long periods, many of them have survived to the present day.

Our grandmas or mums prepare fruits for compote or vegetables with spices and first of all they put it to the jars and then to the pantry. Jar preserve food and keep it fresh for long time. The best is hermetic seal. Inside jar isn’t any air, there is just void. Thanks for it we can enjoy taste during winter when outside it is nothing besides snow.
The other example when it is cold day, you have to come out in the morning and you don’t have time to drink your tea at home, so you can pour it to the jar. This has a lot of advantages because when you hold the jar you can worm up your cold hands and drink this tea during waiting for bus, so you will be worm up doubly.
Sometimes people call ‘jars’ students who study far away from home. When they come back to home one time for long time their mums usually prepared for them meals and then put it on the jars. It sounds funny but it is practical and cheaper and of course more healthy.
