Aκρωτήριο Σούνιο - Cape Soύnio

Today for the place section we will speak about Akrotírio Soúnio.
There is a myth about this place: Aegean, king of Athens, dived into the sea which from that moment took the name of the king: Aegean.
It is a promontory located on the southern tip of Attica

in Greece, about 70 kms from Athens.
To reach Cape Soùnio you have to take a bus from Athens, it will employ 2 hours.
We can find the rests of Athena temple and the temple of the majestic Poseidon which is situated in the southernmost part of the Attica so as to be the sentinel of the sea .
