... feelings did not exist?

Let me propose you a reflection about feelings...

Feelings! Just a simple word but such a complex topic, isn't it?

The question now is... can you imagine a Life without feelings?

It would be so cold and tasteless isn't it?

Maybe it will make our concentration in work and study better, and it would avoid many heartbreaks, but we can't deny the importance of emotions in our lives.

Feelings are the first thing we feel when we wake up and are excited or tired, or nervous about the new day. We feel them everytime we look at a nice landscape, we listen to some good music, we interact with some one.
If we smell our favorite cake in the kitchen we will feel pleased, if we meet a friend on the way we will feel happy.

Emotions are actually with us in every moment of our daily life, they give us the motivation to take action and go on.
Sometimes we would prefer to avoid them... because feelings can be unpleasant. It's because of them if we cry, get angry or frustrated.
But even the most unpleasant feeling has its meaning and function.
Fear makes us avoid danger, sadness pushes us to come closer to other people, melancholy makes us appreciate the happy moments we have experienced.
What is important about feelings is, as the quote of Jonatan Martensson says:
Feelings are much like waves, we cant stop them from coming but we can choose which one to surf.
And this helps us to understand that avoiding feelings to come is impossible, but it's our choice to let them influence ourselves.

We cannot avoid to feel a certain emotion, but we can control our reaction to it.
Also the most negative feeling can be left behind if we decide to focus on the good side, which is there in every situation. It depends on us, on which feelings we want to follow and to let inside of our minds.

And the most important, is not to be afraid of feelings and to show them to people, because our feelings are what we are deeply inside.
They also allow us to interact and understand people.

I would dare to say that feelings are what makes life worth living.
This is why i will leave you with these words of the great Charlie Chaplin: "We think too much and feel too little."

Thank you for visiting us! I wish you a great day, full of emotions.
