They can’t be destroyed that easy and are very robust which makes them useful for nearly every travel. Even if the question if they can be unhealthy is not solved, they are very popular. But who had first the idea to create them?
The first glass bottle was already invented by Egyptians some hundred years before Christ. Then bottles were a valuable good, which only the richest people of society owned and used. They were taken to conserve luxurious goods as oil and perfume. In the Middle Age bottles became more known and evolved.
One day in the 60s a Greek chemist called Apostolis Connelas had enough to have to carry his water in heavy glass bottles. So he went in his labor and tried out some new materials to make them lighter. He also tried this new plastic material and he found out, that if he adds a new chemical you can bring the material in the form you want. He formed it like a bottle and voila! The first plastic bottle was born! He modified it and after some trials he found the perfect mixture, so that it was very robust und not heavy at all. He was very happy with his invention and soon he got a famous and rich person.
