This week’s band of the week is the French-American music composer Olivier Girardot, who lives currently in Berlin. His amazing works can be heard in TV, films, video games, advertisements, art exhibitions and so on. His actual album is a Chill Out Compilation, which contains elements of jazz, funk, electronic and hip-hop, and which is at the same time peaceful, relaxing and energetic. So it’s a perfect music compilation for having a good time and, as the name of the album already says, just chilling out!

Olivier entered the music world when he was 6 years old, always switching from one instrument to another. But he never stopped so he started composing for short films and slowly joined the multimedia area. Today he is a professional music composer, sound designer and sound editor and has his own music company called OGmusik. He is interested in world matters like art, culture, environment, human rights and relief, and education and children.

His first solo-album “OG01” was published in 2009 and it creates an electric, cinematic atmosphere, which everybody experiences in his own way. So be prepared to live something completely different, that you never have heard before!

Some of his works can be heard in the French- German television channel ARTE, where he composed the music for the emissions "Toutes les télés du Monde" ("Zapping International") and "Tous les habits du Monde" ("all the clothes in the world") since 2005. He created music compositions for some commercial, artistic and documentary films and his music can be listened in France, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and even Australia!
