The Crane

Today I will present you another ‘Speak if it’s Greek’.
All over the world are built different kinds of constructions. High buildings, like skyscrapers and towers do not built themselves on their own. You need lots of workers, builders, architects, special tools and of course a crane.

The crane is not really an as complicated machine as it looks like. It has two arms, one arm is longer and the second one is a little bit shorter. The shorter arm has a counterbalance which is stabilizing the crane for lifting heavy loads and transporting them to other places.

The first construction crane was invented in the late 6th century BC by ancient people. This kind of machine was powered by men or donkeys and used for the construction of tall buildings. Larger cranes were developed later.

But have you ever wondered who was invented this useful tool, the crane.
I think you know. If not you should check the solution on our webpage.
