Greek French Fries

Everybody knows how French fries taste and how to prepare them. Normally we just cut potatoes into slices and fry them in hot oil.
But have you ever tried Greek French fries? If not you should listen us today, because we would like to present you another style of potatoes.

In the restaurant you can order Greek French Fries (In Greek τηγανιτές πατάτες) served with cheese and Greek dried oregano. Instead of that we would like to convince you to do it at home.

 

To prepare our menu you will need:
1 kilo of Potatoes
Extra virgin olive oil
200 g Parmigiano Cheese
Dried oregano
Salt
Pepper
Half of Lemon

Cut each potato lengthwise into 8 wedges. Mix the potatoes with spices: oregano, salt – but not too much and pepper. In a large skillet heat up the extra virgin olive oil very well. If it is done add the potatoes slices. Fry them until they get a golden brown color and put them on paper towels.
Add grated cheese.
At the end put some drops of lemon on the top of the fried potatoes and enjoy your meal of Greek cuisine.
