Matt Augustine

Matt Augustine is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and currently resides in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

With his affecting music he recently aspired in the underground music scene of the Eastern USA and Canada.  He persuades with his simple and inspirational music written by himself. He tells stories of life and love. Listening to his songs he transfers a late summer feeling and the combination of guitar sounds with his soft voice transforms you in a big goose bump. Just play his songs to relax in a calm evening, or to create a romantic atmosphere for your sweetheart.

He always loved different styles of music and uses that inspiration in his own music.
With subdued singers like Mark Kozelek, Iron and Wine, and Jeff Tweedy, his aim is to act first as storyteller. In this way he grants fans of his music easy immersion. Matt Augustine is no freshman songsmith. He creates heartfelt lyrics, well formed by the bricks of loss and unrequited love. Augustine will take listeners on a familiar journey through these trials, relaying tales of struggle and his search for redemption, unavoidably conjuring memories of one’s own. But a flickering hope pervades his delivery. Though he may ask many questions, if you listen closely, he does offer some answers. And like any
good storyteller, he will always leave you yearning for more.
