Cheesecake

Everybody loves cheesecake, right? This sweet wonderful piece of happiness is usually made of a base with butter, cracker or biscuit crumbs and a little bit sugar and a filling consisting of a looot of delicious soft cream cheese, quark or ricotta, eggs and sugar. According to your own liking you could for example enjoy your cheesecake with raspberries, sour cream or vanilla.

The traditional recipes vary a little in different countries, as some people prefer the baked and some the unbaked cheesecake and different kinds of cheese and spices are used.

In Asia you could for example find green tea, lychee or mango flavored cheese cake that is less sweet and might have a spongy texture. Some Australians like it with passion fruit, caramel or lemon and in Italy the traditional recipe is with honey, a ricotta-like cheese and sometimes also small bits of candied fruit.
