Jeffrey Philip Nelson

Yes, it is this time of the week again: Our new band of the week is here! Well, in this case it is rather an artist of the week, because I am presenting you singer-songwriter Jeffrey Philip Nelson from the US!

During his childhood Jeffrey listened a lot of folk sounds of the eighties which influences his music essentially, as he works into his songs some of the delicious melodies he heard back then. At his first year of piano lessons, Jeffrey avoided the instruction he was given, and just played what his ears told him were right. This developed into his song writing of today, were he is totally relating on his melodic intuition.

Jeffrey’s mix of folk with hints of blues and a bit of indie rock goes very well with his soulful voice. This results in melancholic but beautiful acoustic folk tracks that will make you dream about love, life and other disasters. He is a Singer/Songwriter who likes to combine old and new: he takes his inspiration from legends like Bob Dylan as well as from current artists like Jack Johnson and that way creates timeless melodies with deep lyrics.
From college until today, Jeffrey has built a successful construction business with his father’s help, that has become his bread and butter. With its success, Jeffrey has purchased precious studio time that has made up his 6 records.

Currently 28 year old Jeffrey Philip Nelson is living in Redondo Beach in the US with his childhood sweetheart and his baby daughter. His current life consists of surfing in the morning, building with his business all day and writing music while everyone is sleeping.
Jeffrey has the beautiful talent to create touching songs completely on his own but instead of recording all of them himself, he prefers to write songs for others. He refers to himself as a boring performer, but then convinces us from the opposite by releasing amazingly soothing ballads like “Seventeen” or “I will crawl”.
And now sit back, relax and set your mind free because I have one of his latest hits for you: Take my shame!
