... there were no colors?

The world we live in is full of beautiful colors! The roses are red, the plants are green and the sea is blue – what a magical color palette we are surrounded by!
But what if colors did not exist? What if all we could see was black and white? How would our life be like?

If colors did not exist, would life be boring? Maybe not! The world would look like an old movie – like the classics, featuring actors such as Charlie Chaplin and Katherine Hepburn.
People would perhaps be affected by the outlook of this black and white scene – they would want to adapt to it, by wearing fancy clothes! Who would not love to see ladies in formal dresses, and gentlemen in tails or tuxedos? Ah, the world would be an extravagant place to live in!

If colors did not exist, life would also be easier in many ways. If you got embarrassed about something – no one could see you blushing! There would be no need for changing your hair color, or applying lipstick – which would make your day more relaxing.
 
As you have noticed in this article, life without colors would sure be different – and although it would be an interesting sight, the colorless appearance is probably more fitting for the movie screen than in the real world.
By imagining life as a black and white movie, you will hopefully now appreciate the colors of the world even more than earlier; please remember to take an extra look at the light blue sky in the morning and the majestic purple flower on the side of the road the next time you see them – and value their beauty!
