Johannes Hopfner

Johannes Hopnfer is a French/Danish singer-songwriter and guitarist currently living in Paris, France.
His music which can be defined as a mixture of Indie-Folk and Alternative and his performances lead you to the land of gold seekers, Great Plains, and Shamans. It will give you a reason for settling back and will make you forget the world around you. Be ready to experience the sound of Johannes Hopnfer and listen!

With his folk guitar style straight from the masters of the genre and his voice which ranges from hoarse and deep to high and ethereal, and his trademark harmonica and egg-shaker, you could easily almost forget that Johannes is alone on stage.



With his self-produced first album, 'Soft Night', published on the Jamendo website in 2004 Johannes Hopfners had great success which launched a series of concerts that have continued to this day.

In 2009, he won the Fnac (a french magasin) Indétendances self-production award for his second album 'One song one take'.
His song 'Ashes turn to gold' was featured on the compilation album 'Indétendances 38', which was widely publicized in all Fnac stores and after a series of concerts at the Bus Palladium in Paris, his song 'Shaman Dance' featured in the 'Le Bus Palladium by Cyril Bodin' compilation.

Johannes has played throughout France with big names like Yaël Naïm, Moriarty, Elliott Murphy, Amen Birdmen, Ali Harter, Leadfoot Rivey, Camille Bazbaz and many other great musicians.
He is currently recording his third album, includin 18 new tracks with music arranger Denis Clavaizolle.
