Educational System in Austria

Welcome to a short excursion to the educational system in Austria, which is similar to the German one. Yet there are some differences as you will see by reading the following article.

In Austria the children are obligated to go to school for 9 years, afterwards they are free to choose whether they want to continue with school, take their final exams and then go to university or to stop after 9 years and do a training to become a hairdresser, mechanic, nurse or the like.

Education is offered for free to everyone, even for studying as it is as of right now there are no fees. Of course for the private institutions you will have to pay for.
