Keramos

Keramos is located at about fourteen kilometers away from Volissos, at the beginning of the road that connects the road network of Amani with Leptopoda and Kambia. The village emerges, through thick and rich vegetation, from the mountains of Amani and Pelineo.

For many decades it was one of the most important villages of Amani due to the mining of antimony, which mines and pitheads were operating up to the mid sixties and are still preserved. The galleries, premises of the company that lastly exploited them, the chemical laboratory, the kiln, the chimney, as well as the equipment of the premises will be part in short of an industrial museum of antimony, a unique of its kind within the Balkan region.
