Halandra

This village is in the eastern side of the road to Amani, eleven kilometers from Volissos. It is built inside an old fortress, climbing up to the steep and green mountainsides of Amani.

Today there are still some remnants of the fortress visible. The main church of the village is Aghia Paraskevi, and the celebration day July 26th.

Situated beneath Halandra is the abandoned settlement of Kamini, in which the church of Agios Modestos can be found.
