Kobold

On todays Episode of Creatures from HELLas I will present you the kobold. As always, at the end of the Article you have the opportunity to guess weather I made the Creature up or kobold really is a part of the Greek mythology.

Kobolds are humanlike creatures of the size of small children. Even though they are only one meter tall they look like old mans and have ugly features. There are three major types of kobolds. The first type lives in human homes, the second one in mines and the third type on ships. All three have in common that they play malicious tricks on the humans around them, if they get insulted or in another way mistreated by them. Another important trait of these creatures is their ability to transform themselves into animals, fire, human beings or objects. The most common animals they transform themselves into are bats, roosters, snakes, worms and cats. With all those attributes you would probably assume that these creatures are no good company for your home. However, if treated well Kobolds will bring good luck and help to their hosts. They will for example, warn you before accidents or help you, by doing the house tasks. In return they only want to be fed at the same time and place in the house every day. On the other side, if they are mistreated  they will afflict the errant hosts with supernatural diseases, disfigurements or injuries. Their anger ranges from beating the servants to murdering those who insulted him. Since the Kobold only acts bad if he is mistreated, his behaviour is the reflection of the homeowners virtue.

Solution:
Kobold is not a part of the greek mythology, he is a part of the german mythology.
