... he does not text you back?

This article is mainly for you, girls out there on our lovely planet earth. But of cause also for everyone how knows this situation: You met a guy, had a good time with him and you ended up exchanging numbers. Later you text him, but: no answer. Not even on the next day.

Does this sound familiar to you? Well let's go through it together: What if he doesn't text back?

First of all: Keep calm and carry on! Panicking is never a solution.

Once you are calm enough, it is time to analyze the situation. What reasons could there be that he does not text back? There are three options, either he doesn't want to text you because he is not interested anymore, or he is busy, or he simply can't because he lost/broke his phone. Admittedly, the last reason is very unlikely to happen, but you never know. However, the second option is possible since men are not exactly known to be good multi-taskers. Maybe he is busy and and got completely absorbed by whatever he is doing. In this case he will text you back as soon as he has time, if he thinks of you. Moreover, think of the message you sent to your guy. Does it require a response or did you simply send a message like “I am watching a movie tonight”? If it was this kind of message, he maybe simply did not know what to answer. Furthermore, keep in mind that even if in the beginning of your relationship you were texting all the time, this might change when everything has settled down a bit, and your guy is sure he already won your heart. So relax and don't destroy your relationship by being to demanding and annoying.

BUT, if he still doesn't answer you after 24 h, it might time to face another possibility why he does not text back: He is not interested in you anymore. That means it is up to you to decide if you want to try changing that or if you just accept it as the end of your relationship. What ever is your decision, what will be your next step? Leaving it like this, doing nothing and moving on? Texting again to clarify the whole situation? Or even call him back?

I guess we all have to find out for our selves how to deal with this situation, just keep in mind, whatever happens, it will not be the end of the world!
