Arachas

The creature I will present you today is called Arachas. It is a pretty large insect that is also known as crab spider that is often found in forests and swamps. Read the article and guess if the Arachas is a creature from Hellas or not.

You really don’t want to come close to this week’s creature as its physical appearance by itself is frightening enough. It has strong pincers, a whole bunch of razor-sharp teeth and deadly venom glands. Its abdomen is distinctly big. But it usually hides it under a cover of tree-trunks on the back. The obvious advantage is that it now looks like part of the forest at first glance. Arachas are patient hunters. They wait hours or even days for their prey and finally kill it with a single precise strike. But they are particularly uneager to share their hunting territory with others and will fight every other hunter who enters it. Arachas are very well protected by their durable armor but this also makes them very large and slow. What makes it even more difficult to fight this creature is its immunity against poison and fire. Additionally, its nervous system is quite primitive and therefore barely reacts to even big wounds. The incredible vitality of Arachas lets them survive even great wounds. The beast will heal itself after a fight anyway while it is digesting its prey. So, what do you think? Is this cruel creature part of the Greek mythology or not?

Solution:
No, it is not. The Arachas is completely made up.
