Stoneface priest

This week I would like to introduce the reggae artist Stoneface priest to you. Stoneface priest was born in Kenya where he discovered reggae as a young boy by listening to the music of Don Carlos, Bob Marley and Israel Vibration.

He started composing his first tunes during high school. Soon he had to realize that finding a studio for producing his own music and making a living out of it would be a long, rocky road. Therefore, Stoneface priest decided to study at the Kenya Utalii College in order to get a job in the hotel industry. This did not mean that he gave up his big dream, he only postponed it. After he completed his education at the college and managed to find a job in a five-star hotel, he could finally afford to record his debut single “Lonely” in a proper studio. Since then, Stoneface priest recorded several songs which often deal with the struggle of building up a live.

In his song “Peace and Love” he sings about different conflicts and wars that dominate life in many African countries and elsewhere and calls for stopping these wars and engaging for a global peace. So even if you are usually not a fan of reggae, I would like to invite you to listen to the song now.
