When Demeter her mother, finally found her, Zeus accepted to let her live back on earth for half of the year (during growing season) but for the rest of the year she will live in the underworld with Hades (during winter).

We follow the adventures of a young roman lawyer, Titus Flaminus, when he decides to go to Athens and study philosophy with his friend Brutus. He starts learning about the mystery of Eleusis but on the first day of the celebrations a girl is killed by an arrow. He then decides to investigate and find the culprit. He is convinced that the clues to solve this murder are hidden in the Eleusinian Mysteries.

Through this book, you will be able to discover what life in ancient Greece was. It addresses different topics like the traditions, the religion and other interesting aspects of mythology while being caught up in the crime-solving plot.
