... you stay in bed forever?

It`s monday morning and your alarm rips you out of your dream. The only thing you want to do is stay in your cozy and warm bed. Who doesn`t know this situation? But what if you actually stay in bed and never leave it again?

 

At first you would propbably fall back to sleep and continue your dream but at some point you will have enough sleep. Maybe you would decide to spend some time on your phone or watch some TV and then fall back to sleep. But at least after one day you would get hungry. In this article we consider the case that you get food and drinks delivered to your bed (although this is pretty unlikely). So beside that you would also have to wear nappies and you would need someone who cleans for you but for now we consider that this is the case as well. But there is one thing that at first might seem easy but in reality is not. And that`s is staying entertained. The opportunities in bed are quite limited. Thinking of staying on bed forever could get very boring. So beside that you have to find an occupation to get over your boredom you would muscles would start to form back. After two weeks of lying in bed a third of your power would be gone and this power would take more than 6 weeks to rebuild. As long as you stay in bed the symptoms would get worse and worse. The blood circulation will lose it`s power as well. An experiment on that showed that a man who stayed in bed for 70 days lost about 20 percent of his total blood volume. All of this basically means that standing up after a long period in bed would be pretty hard if not impossible. Staying in bed forever can actually kill you.

So in conclusion although waking up can be hard from time to time it is better to overcome your laziness and appreciate your health. Because there are people who really aren`t able to stand up every day and this is not fun at all. Be happy that you can use your day in so many different ways!
