... We were just living compost

Many people think that our existence has a higher meaning than just the biological circle. They like idea of us humans being something very special, more special than any other living being. But what if we were just living compost?

Some say that what separates us from animals is our consciousness and maybe this is true but does that really mean that we are something more special or important or that our life has any higher purpose than theirs? For most of us humans animals are just a part of a biological circle: they are born, they eat, they drink, they sleep and someday they die and their dead bodies are partly eaten by other animals and decomposed by smaller living organisms. They are basically compost but who tells us that we aren’t just the same but that we are conscious of certain things and they aren’t?

If we were actually just compost (we are born, we eat, we drink, we sleep, we die) , then maybe some problems we humans face wouldn’t be a problem anymore if we accept that our existence doesn’t have any bigger meaning. Many times people overestimate their abilities and the importance of themselves. This might change and make life for many people funnier and less serious.
