The eurovision song contest is huge event in entire europe. 200 Million people are watching the show. This is a big audience for every musicians. So playing there is a special honer. Today I would like to intodruce Kalomoria to you she had this honer in 2008 when she represented Greece.

Kalomoria was born in New York in 1985. Her actual birth name was Marie Carol Sarantis and she is half american. She grew up singing and dancing in a local theatre and also learning the viola for 9 years. With her musical talent she started her TV careere quit early with small performances. The breakthrough succeeded with 19 years when she applied for the castingshow Fame Story 2 which is the greek version of Fame Acadamy. She got choosen to go to greece and to continue the competion there. During this show she gained the heart of many greek people. In the end Kalomoria won the final of Fame Story 2 and got a record deal with the greek lable “Heaven music”. With her first album called “Kalomoira” she also choose Kalomoria as her new name which is the english version of Marie Carol. For this album she won a title for the best junior singer and got a golden disc. Her music belongs to the pop genre but it is on the light hearted side of pop music. In her songs she usually sings about typical lovestorys and love in general.This concludes a young fan group of mostly teenagers and young adults. Provided through her fan base Kalomoria took the next big step in her careere, the application for the casting of the eurovision song contest. Because of her talent she accomplished to come out on top and got the honer of representing greece in the eurovision song contest. With the song “Secret combination” she competed in Belgrad in march 2008. Regarding her charming being and her good performance she became 3^rd place which was a huge success for herself and entire greece. After this success she produced another album called “Please don`t break my heart” in 2010. Since Kalomoria is still quit young we can expected more new music and great performances in the future.
