Greek Yogurt

Hello and welcome back to chiosradio.gr. In the past few years Greek Yogurt has become a huge trend in the fitness and healthy eating world. But what makes the Greek Yogurt so diffrent to normal Yogurt and how is the traditional way to eat it?

 

 

In the progress of making traditional Greek Yogurt the diffrence to normal yogurt consists of the reducing of the whey. In conclusion an other consistency accures. The Greek Yogurt is thicker and more creamy than normal yogurt and it has a stronger taste. Also because of the diffrent making the Greek Yogurt provides more protein, has more natural fat and less carbonhydrants. This makes it so popular in fitness circels. In comparison to regular yogurt the greek version is healthier and good for the body because it also carrys many mineral substances and vitamins like claicum, sodium and B12. This is why the Greek Yogurt which was already a product in the ancient is now all over the world. Greek people like to eat it as a desert with fresh fruit and hoeny but they also use it for their famous Tzaziki. Here are three diffrent recepies to use Greek Yogurt:

 

1: Greek Yogurt with honey and walnut:

 

For 4 persons:

2, 1/2 cups of Greek Yogurt

1, ½ cups walnuts

¾ of a cup hoeny

cinnamon

 

 

 

1. rost the walnuts in a pan or bake them for 7-8min in the oven by 180 degrees of celcius

2. prepare the yogurt in little bowls and mix the cinnamon in there

3. top the yogurt with the walnuts and the honey

 

2: Tzatziki:

 

 

1 large bowl:

1, 1/2 cups Greek Yogurt

½ of s cucmber

2 large garlic cloves

olive oil

salt



 

1. grate the cucumber and drain it through a mesh

2. combine the Greek Yogurt the oil, the garlic and the salt in a large bowl

3. Mix it all together

3: Fruit toped Greek Yogurt

 

 

2 person:

2 cups Greek Yogurt

¼ cup of blackberries

3 tablespoons of blueberriers

3 tablespoons of rasberries

2 tablespoon of pecans

2 tablespoons of honey

 

1. put the Greek Yogurt in a bowl

2. Put the fruits on top

3. Add the honey and the pecans
