I discovered a new band for you today, which I like to introduce to you. The Swiss duet called Martinez met first during separated journeys in the US. The singer and songwriter Valerie Martinez as well as the drummer and producer Yvan Bing Tinged had started their own music career already before they met. Afterwards their idea to make music together led to great success.

Their music expresses a hope to relive a past of carelessness. The calm and soft voice of Valerie Martinez fits perfectly to the enjoyable rythms of their songs and thogether they create a nostalgic but nevertheless joyful atmosphere. Whilst listening to Martinez it is easy to relax and to forget about currently diffucult situations. I would personally classify their tracks into the category "music for dreamers". Generally it is categorized as indie pop, rock and dream pop.

Their first single, Maryam was released in 2016 and deals with the difficulties everybody can experience in a constantly changing society. Their first track was a great success and a good start in their music career as a duet.
