... we were able to trust each other unconditionally?

Imagine you would be able to trust everybody blindly, without even knowing them. When somebody asked you to lend them money, you would just do it because you would trust the person to give it back to you. And now try to imagine that you COULD really trust this person – so you would for sure get your money back. Wouldn't this be an amazing world?

Everybody was once in the situation that his trust was misused. A lot of people really suffer from severe psychological problems because their trust was abused too often.
Many people are not reliable and because of experiences we usually don't trust each other very easily. To trust a person you must have a reason, a condition to be able to really believe in their good. You rely for example on a family member or a close friend because you know them for a long time and you know that they care about you as you care about them and that they do not want to hurt you.
People that are not trustable usually are very selfish people who just think of their own advantage. They don't have a bad conscience when they abuse your trust or their joy about their gain is bigger than their conscience.
So people like this would not exist in a world where we were able to trust each other. You would ask somebody to do something and you would not have to control afterwards if this person really did. It would also save us a lot of time. How many people like for example employers, bosses and managers have to spend a lot of their time controlling whether other people did their right job because they are not trustable?
We would not need prisons and police because we could trust the people to not do something wrong. There would be no need for secret services and probably not even for military.

But isn't this something that is achievable? Isn't this what we try day after day, becoming a better person without flaws without weaknesses? Maybe the bad has to exist otherwise we would not know what the good is. So if we were able to trust each other unconditionally we would not realize because we would not know what it is like to be suspicious.

So unfortunately we can't change the world and make everybody trust everybody unconditionally and maybe it is also important to have also bad things. But we can try to be more trustable for others and more reliable. We can appreciate more when our hopes we set in people are not in vain.
We can help and understand people more who are suspicious, maybe they had bad experiences in the past.
Maybe everybody of us could now think a bit about trust and will remember this whenever there comes the situation for it.
