Myke Clements

Summer is coming. Are you making holidays? Maybe you travel by plane to another country or continent. And maybe you have to use more than one plane to reach your aim and you have to make a stopover somewhere. What do you do in this time to become not bored, because you can not do something else then waiting that your journey goes forward. Or current musician of the week knows this layover times in his life and how to handle with them. Let's talk about the music of Myke Clements.

Today Myke Clements is 28 years old and lives together with his family in Los Angeles. Originally he comes from Northern California, but because his father is pastor he moved very often and spent a long part of is childhood in Phoenix Arizona. The inspiration to become a musician he got from the Relient K album “The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek”. It motivated him to learn how to play the guitar and to write and record songs. In his style Myke Clements had a lot of movement and changes. He started to play in a hardcore band with the name “Hepafilter” from 2008 to 2011. Afterwards he made release music under the name “Ambience in Motion” and produced 2013 his first album which is called “Biters and Roamers: Chronicles of the Undead”. Later he worked on different project like the instrumental album “No Worry, No Sorrow”.

It is very important for him to make music with a Christian background. From his relationship with God reports also the album “Layover” especially with the song of the same name. In 2016 Myke Clemtents lost his job, because his department was shut down. He said that in one hand he was very angry why this bad fate happened to him. At the same time he was sure that God wanted this situation to change something in his life. Myke Clements felt like waiting at an airport. He knew that he was on his way, but he had the feeling not to go forward. But in this three month without a job Myke Clements produced all the songs from the album “Layover”. He said that it was like an explosion of creativity and the lyrics were flowing out of him. This was very fascinating for him, because normally he finds it hard to find the right lyrics to describe his thinkings. The last song of the album he finished at the day he got a new job.

Myke Clements has two wishes for the future. He really likes to play live concerts and would do it more often. Also, he hopes that his music is going to be listened from as many people as possible.
If you have a layover during holiday trip, I can really recommend listening to other songs of this great artist. Maybe they can also move you forward in the layovers in your life. But first enjoy his song “The Layover”.
