Greek Coleslaw - Λαχανοσαλάτα

Today I have a very easy and simple recipe of the daily Greek cuisine for you: Λαχανοσαλάτα (lachanosalata) which is Greek for coleslaw.
There are of course many varieties how to do it but I will present to you today a very simple one with carrots and of course cabbage.

 

We need:

1 cabbage
2 carrots
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
juice of 1 lemon
sugar
salt
pepper (optional)

Cut the cabbage into stripes and grate the carrots. Then mix together the other ingredients, the olive oil, the vinegar, the lemon juice, the sugar and the salt. If you want you can also put a bit of pepper inside.
When you are ready to serve, mix the salad with the dressing and there you have your Greek coleslaw! Success guaranteed!
