Now it is time for a new band of the week. Today I present you “Talking to Sophie”. This name stands for the music of Marcel Krell from Germany.

He is really a musical all-rounder and apart from singing he can play the guitar, the piano as well as the xylophone. Music has an important role in his life since he was a child. He started to make music with following his first own records, learned power cords on his guitar and tried first solos. Of course all this he did autodidactic. Since 2003, he is officially a musician. In this year he started with his first and last true band with the name “High Fidelity” The next five years he will remember as a time full of hard and tiring rehearsals, gigging around the Brandenburg countryside and changes in the music style of the band from Punk, Pop and Rock to Acoustic, Electronic and Pop. In the summer 2009 he stopped his engagement in the band and continued his music career as a solo artist. In 2010, he published his debut album and in the next year he was very active by making videos, shows and different publications of new singles. Afterwards his activities became less.

Now you can categorize his style between Indiepop, Folk and Rock. He published some of his songs on Jamendo where you can find two of his albums. The song I will present you today is “Bright Light”. I really hope you will enjoy its relaxed rhythm which let you think about a warm summer evening in the USA and let you see the lights of Las Vegas shining in the dark. And of course this song will tell you an own unique love story.
