I explored a new singer for you on Jamendo today. I have just listened to Tony Petersen for the first time and was directly in love with his music which belongs to the category country and folk. He discovered his passion very early and started to play the guitar at the age of 15. Since High School he has been performing across the county. He records and writes his songs mostly by himself. Currently he is a part of the national touring act called "The Social Animals".

I took some time to listen to his album "A soft place to land". Each song is accompanied by the banjo or the guitar and in between the harmonica resounds and emphasizes some smaller parts of Tony Petersen's songs. The instruments create these typical county and folk sounds. It constantly reminds me of sitting in the fields in summer, long walks trough the countryside or having relaxed evenings on the campfire in nature.

With his easy and soft voice Tony creates a completely enjoyable atmosphere. His songs mostly deal with love or some lovelornness, which may sound icky for the first time, but whoever loves calm music and the sound of banjo and guitar will enjoy the music of Tony Petersen.
