I Am Not Lefthanded

This week I'll present you yet another Indie band. However, "I Am Not Lefthanded" is not your usual band. They describe themselves like that: "We don’t play pop music, we don’t write music for art’s sake, we don’t represent any movements, we’re not hip, we’re not cutting edge, we don’t dress to be cool. We do manage ourselves, we write our own songs, we produce our own recordings, we shoot our own videos, we design and make our own merch and website. We’re not generally negative people and we’re not lefthanded.”

"I Am Not Lefthanded" is a band of originally three members from different places all over Ireland and the UK. Kathryn, Irish country girl and front woman of the band does the vocals, the guitar and the bass, a real allrounder. She met Daniel who does vocals and bass in Dublin and saved him from what he called "a really bad marriage" - he was actually referring to his former band. The two of them harmonized perfectly. However, when they met Benji, their future drummer, on a trip to London, they found someone who added a much-needed harder edge and weight to their songs.

Together they toured across Ireland and the UK and soon got invitations to tour with other bands. After their first US tour with 15 stops in 10 different states they decided to settle in San Francisco, supposedly because of the better weather there. Their music has been played in several movies, TV shows and ads.
