THE KEY

Everybody knowns that the key is a device that is used to operate a lock, for lock and unlock it . But not everybody knowns that the keys were discovered in Greece by a merchant .

Today no one knows the merchant name but we know that he lived in the archipelago of the Cyclades . He was a rich merchant and everyweek the thieves stolen his wares so he decided to find a way to hide the merchandise to the thieves. He decided to built a wooden cabinet with a simple closing that could be opened with a special instrument (the first key). After that he realized that the thieves were unable to open the door.
Other merchants saw that the merchant did not suffer anymore thefts and they wanted to know his secret.
So the merchant decided to sell his invention and today the key is a common object and it is used in many different ways.
