"Pump it" by Black Eyed Peas

Today I want to surprise you again with a Greek invention you maybe did not know was Greek.
To be exact I want to talk about a nice Greek song which is the origin for two American “hits”.
I think a lot of you know the song of the Black Eyed Peas “Pump it” created in the year 2006 and those who were interested in its origins might know as well that it is a cover of the nice surf rock song “Misirlou”.

I am just starting to learn how to sail and therefore was very excited to find out that sailboats are actually a Greek invention. It makes sense if you think about it for a while - Greece has thousands of islands and the only way in ancient times to get from one to the other was over the ocean. Some people might even say that sailboats were invented on Chios because the inhabitants of the island saw the Turkish mainland and wanted to get there but swimming was almost impossible. However, I'm not entirely sure if this is true.
