Ice-cream on a stick
Often there are more than 35 degrees outside in Greece during summer time and what is more refreshing than an ice-cream on a stick? Everybody knows it, everybody eats it and everybody loves it. In almost every Greek tavern, restaurant or bar you can buy it while spending your holidays there, but is it also a Greek invention?
Cheesecake
Everybody loves cheesecake, right? This sweet wonderful piece of happiness is usually made of a base with butter, cracker or biscuit crumbs and a little bit sugar and a filling consisting of a looot of delicious soft cream cheese, quark or ricotta, eggs and sugar. According to your own liking you could for example enjoy your cheesecake with raspberries, sour cream or vanilla.
The Odometer
It is also called milometer or trip meter. Especially very sportive active people will recognize this very useful thing. Almost everybody uses it when doing a tour with the bike. Depending on your goal, driving a number of kilometers as fast as you can or just to see how long the way from home to school or work is – the odometer, which counts the distance you covered, is more or less useful for the single person.
Water Organ
This fascinating instrument works because the dynamic energy of water is converted into air pressure which is necessary to play music on the water organ. These special organs were mentioned first in writings in the 3rd century BC and were for sure not regarded as toys, but had a great significance in philosophy.
