Lemnos

This week we will go for a journey to an Island located in the north of the Aegean Sea. Lemnos is a volcanic place. Although it does not have any forests, it is filled with extensive fertile fields cultivated with vineyards and cereals. It is also a place full of stunning clean beaches. Lemnos island is not touristic, and remains a secluded place even in the high season, so it is ideal for a relaxed vacation. On the island are mountainous villages and interesting archaeological sites.

Lesvos

The island of Lesvos (Λέσβος) is the third biggest island of Greece and just 80 miles northern from Chios Island. The eastern part of the island consists mostly of forests. The area of and around Polichnitos shows clear signs of volcanism. There are also the hottest springs of Greece with about 70 to 85°C.

Milos

(gr. Μήλος). Milos is a volcanic Greek island in the Aegean Sea, just north of the Sea of Crete. Milos is the island in the Cyclades group. The main port of Milos is Adamas. In the middle of the island was caused by a volcanic eruption. The bigest tourist attraction is the village Tripiti the catacombs and amphitheater from the Hellenistic period.
The island is famous for the statue of Aphrodite (the "Venus de Milo" but now is in the Louvre), statues of the Greek god Asclepius (now in the British Museum), the Poseidon and an archaic Apollo in Athens.

Leros

As many other Greek islands, Leros went through a lot of different “possessions” before it finally was united with Greece again:

Lipsi

The name of Lipsi derives from Odysseus myth: while he was returning home from Troy, he was imprisoned for a long time on the island by the Goddess Calypso who wanted to make him his immortal husband. The origin of the word “Lipsi” comes from “leipsos” which literally means “lack”. Although Odysseus had better things to do, and fled from Calypso, some of you would probably enjoy to be trapped on this island for a short holiday and would surely appreciate its beautiful landscape and views.

Mykonos

The first thing you can see when you arrive to Mykonos are several white buildings. They are the trademark of the island, which is one of the most popular Greek destinations for people all over the world.
