Villages of Chios
In the north side of Chios are beautiful villages located next to the sea, like Lagada and Kardamyla, with many taverns where you can eat fresh fish and other local specialties.
Volissos
Located on a hill about 40 kilometers northwest from the capital of Chios lies the village of Volissos. This charming village is the biggest village in the northern area of the island, as well as the capital of the municipality of Amani.
Vouno
Vouno is a medieval village that is located in the south of Chios Island next to Nenita and 21 km from Chios City. It is surrounded by the beautiful nature – olive and almond trees as well as the famous mastic trees which only grow on Chios Island line the environment. The scent that also arises from the vineyards and the nearby sea combine to a unique experience, a true sensation.
Vrontados
The beautiful village of Vrontados is the continuation of the city of Chios. This seaside borough is five kilometers northwards from it and has 4500 inhabitants.
Zagori
Zagori is a region of great natural beauty, with striking geology and two national parks, in north-western Greece.
Zifias
Zifias is a small village built on a hill, further down from Agios Georgios Sikousis, about eight kilometers away from the city of Chios. The village's pronunciation was different from village to village: The people who lived in Vasileoniko used to call it "Zofia", those who lived in Agios Georgios called it "Joufia".
