… the wheel had never been invented?

The wheel, as it’s usually said, is the best invention since antiquity and is the most important invention nowadays still, because from that wheel other extraordinary creations are been thought up.
The invention of the wheel it’s reported around 4000 B.C. in the Mesopotamia by the Sumerians.

The first wheels were simples discs of wood with an hole in the middle for the axis,
they were already created with the idea of transport, thus, the most developed populations that raised animals thought about it and for thousands of year from that day the wheel is being used for transportation: public and goods.
So, what if.. the wheel had never been invented?
I can’t think how we would move ourselves today because we always use bicycles, cars, trucks, airplanes and boats, yes, airplanes and boats because without the invention of the wheel it would not been invented also the helix that is used for the propellers.
Well, the wheel changed the evolution of humans, probably we would run like the Inca’s messengers, the Incas were not provided with horses they ran:  team of runners were able to run 240 kms per day in order to bring messages and fresh fish to the king.
Eventually, we should thank all the inventors of the wheel, because that’s why we are in the modern era.
