... we had no memory?

Welcome to our What if-Program of this week.
One question for you:
Have you ever thought what would happen if we had no memory?
If we woke up every morning without remembering anything about ourselves or our life until that moment?
It would be crazy right?
Memory is actually what our life and progress is based on, we are made of experiences and memories, our past took us where we are now.

Everything we know, is because somebody thought us, every special skill or capacity we have, is there because of the work we made in the past to get it.
No memory means no knowledge, we would be like children at the first days of life. Everyday would be a new start absolutely from zero.
All the people who are in our life would be like strangers, since relationships between people are made of the memories of the moments spent together and the connection we had with people in the past.
Without our memory.... there would be only a body with no identity. With an empty mind which only works following instincts and basic needs.
The human race progressed thanks to this, the memory of the past, learning from experience and from knowledge passed down from father to son, this is what made us different from animals.
But on the other hand, sometimes memories can cause problems.
People who had shocking experiences would for sure prefer to forget all the bad that happened to them. For sure memories can cause a lot of pain, guilt or sadness.
Anyway, our memory is for sure a greater tool, which we should not give for granted and train often , in order not lose it!
So now, let me give you some tips to improve your memory!
-Just like our body needs to be active to be in shape, also our mind needs, in order to sharpen our brain: reading some challenging texts, taking alternates routes from the common way, learning to play a musical instrument and doing activities that we are not used to are very good methods. Socialize often and spending time with our loved ones are also important, since they help to kill depression and stress, often causes of memory loss. Sleeping well, exercising regularly, eating healthy and becoming more organized are other key steps!
Hopefully you will find the advice useful!
So, dear listeners, try to remember it and keep your memory sharp!
