Look at this picture.. Breath-taking right?

Are you curious to know how this place is called and where it is?

Today we are here to surprise you with a special Greek locality, called Meteora. Meteora is an area located in Thessaly (Central Greece), 400 km from Athens.

It is formed by many natural sandstone rock pillars, created by earthquakes and erosion in million of years.

What makes Meteora so interesting and singular are the monasteries on the top of the rock towers.

It is one of the largest and most important complexes of orthodox monasteries in Greece, for this reason, and for the singularity of the landscape it is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List and it attracts many tourists during the whole year.

It is the ideal place to enjoy great views and to get lost in the peaceful calm of nature, or to find adventurous paths for climbing and hiking.

The Meteora monasteries are able to make this area even more suggestive and mysterious.

 Sounds pretty cool right?
