Leslie Hunt

Today in our Band of the week section we want to introduce you one of the biggest talent of American Idol show. In 2007 everybody felt in love with Leslie Hunt, who maybe didn’t win but for sure was remembered by fans of this program. We hope she will be remembered also by you our dear listeners.

It is nice, pretty girl with big pop-voice. She’s not only singer but she’s also composer and song-writer.

Leslie Hunt has been performing as a musician since childhood. Singing and playing piano by age four, and had already played leading roles in productions of Fiddler on the roof and the Music Man by age 13. In 2001, she inked a development deal with Sony and recorded a five-song demo the following year. In the age of 25 she decided to audition for the sixth season of American Idol. She was chosen out of 104,000 competitors and quickly found herself in the national spotlight when she reached the "final 10 females" on American Idol 2007. From there, she found herself performing her original music on the Fox Morning Show in Chicago as well as many prestigious clubs, including The empty bottle, Martyr’s, Uncommon Ground, Elbo Room, Gunther Murphy's, Underground Wonderbar, and Katerina's. Leslie has shared the stage with legends such as Rick Springfieldand and Jim Peteric

Leslie enjoys running the gamut from subtle to blistering in District 97 and is happy to have such an outlet to showcase her considerable vocal abilities.

Her music is cheerful and joyful and if it goes to your head it’s going to stay forever. The nice melodies are great for listening during meetings with friend, during eating breakfast or just to listen in some free time.

Apart from singing Leslie enjoys also traveling. During her tours she visited a lot of places like Brazil, China or Europe. Once she said: ‘If I work I have to travel and if I don’t have to work- I travel.’

She’s very positive and energy person, her concerts are full of power, dance and a lot of smile. She sings with her fans and never forgets about conversations with them after performance.

One of her also recognizable features is her hair. She changes the color very often and sometimes we cannot keep up with her, one day she is nice brunette and the next day she can be crazy ginger. It’s always surprise.

Her songs like ‘First Date” or ‘Your hair is on fire’ have already appeared on radio station so it’s time to get to know new one ‘American Dram Man’ Enjoy!

We hope you like it and we will meet on one of her concert, maybe in Chicago!
