Trahili Beach

In Chios Island sometimes January feels like summer, because of that today we want to talk with you about one of the nicest and more exotic beaches of the island: Trahili Beach.

Trahili beach, can be also called a bay and, as always in Chios Island, offers clean and crystal water with outstanding surrounding. It is located 20 km west from Chios City and 5km nort from the village of Lithi, also it is close to Avgonyma village and easily accessible from there.
Trahili is one of the less known beaches of Chios, so it is perfect for swimming away from the crowds and for enjoying a relaxing and calm day in a natural and not changed surrounding. Trahili is known for its clear waters and white soft sand. Around the beach itself we can find a rocky hill covered with tall pine trees that will accompany us all the way down to the beach.

Because it is an isolated and natural beach there aren't any facilities but you cand find some supplies in the near towns of Avgonyma and Lithi, and then go easily to the beach. Once that you are in Trahili you will find  a pure sandy beach, that combined with the view, the water and a good weather will create a majestic environment for those who visit the area for the first time.

As a tip, you can park your car in the top of the way and go down by foot comfortably, that will allow you to enjoy the view also with one of the characteristic watching towers called viglas of Chios Island and save some bumpy moments in the car.

So if you are looking for an isolated, secluded, peaceful beach with no tourist facilities and very few signs of human existence, Trahili beach is your ideal location. Because this natural paradise can be found just by the ones who really want to visit it.
