... we had four arms?

Are you one of those people who are ironing, reading, watching TV and talking on the phone at the same time? I sure am, and often enough I just wish I had two arms more to do even more things at the same time!

Imagine that, having two additional arms would be so useful sometimes, don’t you think? You could chop all the vegetables for dinner so much faster while washing the salad and making sure the rice is not burning.
The term “group hugging” gets a totally new meaning in a world with four armed people, because you are actually able to hug two people properly at the same time!
I will not even get started at the huge possibilities from a sportive perspective, just think about swimming, rowing, dancing, playing tennis, jump roping and all those things.

One more interesting thought: While juggling is already impressive enough with two arms, imagine a colorful clown juggling cones, balls, fruits and so many more things with four arms! Must be nice, huh?
In theory also getting dressed would be so much faster, at least for normally coordinated people. Probably not for me though, I have already enough trouble with my two arms so imagine my fight with finding the right sleeves for four arms!

Which brings me to the anatomic aspect of this scenario: One important question here is, where exactly on our bodies these two more arms would be.
One at the chest, between the other two arms and the other one at the back so we could style our hair more properly and hold an additional bag? Or would it be more practical to have them just under our already existing arms at the side of our body?

Either way, it would be kind of weird and kind of awesome at the same time for sure, having those two additional arms! And who knows, maybe in a couple thousand years the nature decides to give us some additional arms to keep up with our multi tasking society? But until now our world is made for two armed humans which worked perfectly fine for humanity so far.
